Elizabethtown Area High School is pleased to recognize its November Rotary Club Students of the Month: Sadie Givens and Nicholas Kreider. This honor recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and community involvement, reflecting their positive contributions to both the school and the community.

Sadie Givens

Sadie Givens

Sadie is the daughter of Gwendolyn Boyer of Bainbridge and Joel Givens of Elizabethtown.

Sadie is an active and engaged student leader with involvement in multiple school clubs, including Key Club, Model United Nations, Newspaper Club, Student Council, Red Cross Club, Women in STEM, Bible Club, Club Ophelia, Choir, and Link Crew. She has held leadership positions in several organizations, including Vice President of the Red Cross Club, Treasurer and Head of Fundraising for Women in STEM, and Publicity Secretary for Student Council.

Sadie has been inducted into the National Honor Society, representing the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Her academic achievements also include multiple Academic Excellence awards in Choir, Career & Finance Online, Honors World History, Honors English Ten, and Honors General Science, as well as the Administrative Leadership Award and the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.

Outside of school, Sadie participates in Red Cross programs, Students for Education in PA, and was a finalist for Vice President of Communications in the National Student Council. She also attends LCBC Harrisburg and balances employment at Weis Markets and Knock Knock Boutique.

Looking ahead, Sadie plans to attend college, pursuing a degree in Biology or an accelerated Occupational Therapy program, with the goal of continuing her studies toward a Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

Nicholas Kreider

Nicolas Kreider

Nicholas is the son of Dave and Lois Kreider of Elizabethtown.

Nicholas is a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, one of the highest academic honors a high school senior can achieve nationally. He has also been inducted into the National Honor Society for representing the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In addition, Nicholas has consistently earned a place on the honor roll throughout high school and has been recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction for outstanding performance on Advanced Placement exams.

Active both in academics and the arts, Nicholas participates in the high school Concert Band and Orchestra, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Musical Pit Orchestra. He also competes in Science Olympiad and mathematics competitions.

Beyond academics, Nicholas contributes to his community as a member of the Bainbridge Community Band, and participates in his church, Cross Roads BIC, volunteering weekly with youth group activities, operating camera equipment, and joining annual mission trips. He is also employed at Weis Markets.

Following graduation, Nicholas plans to attend a four-year university to study Mathematics and Physics.
