May 25, 2021- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Emma Blyler and Connor Vogelsong were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's students of the month for June. Blyler and Vogelsong were honored for their high academic achievement, extensive school involvement, and community service activities.

Blyler is the daughter of Cory and Kate Blyler of Elizabethtown. She is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society.

Blyler is active in numerous school programs and activities. She is a member of both the basketball and volleyball teams, serving a captain of the basketball team for two years. Blyler is also active with student council, Mini-THON, and the high school’s student ambassador program.

In the community, Blyler volunteers as at the local food cupboard. She is an active member of LCBC – Manheim campus.

Blyler plans to attend Kutztown University to pursue a degree in biology – premedical and Allied health program.

June students of the monthVogelsong is the son of Bill and Kathy Vogelsong of Elizabethtown. Vogelsong holds leadership positions in numerous school programs and activities. He is Class of 2021 vice president, Model UN Club president, and Science Olympiad president. He is also active with Envirothon, the percussionist section with the band and orchestra, and the ice hockey team. As a member of the band, he was named to the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association county band.

In the community, Vogelsong is active with the Bainbridge Band. He also volunteers at Masonic Village and is a part of their DeMolay program. He is an active member of Reality Church in Lancaster.

Vogelsong plans to attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in Political Science.
