February 4, 2022- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Kyveli Georges and Patrick Gilhool were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's Students of the Month for February. This program celebrates and recognizes student achievements by sustaining a culture of learning that values academic success and raises awareness of student contributions to the EAHS community.

Georges is the daughter of George and Tina Georges of Elizabethtown. As a junior, the high school inducted Georges into the prestigious T.H. Ebersole Chapter of the National Honor Society for exhibiting the four pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. 

Georges holds numerous leadership positions at the high school. She is president of the Key Club earning the 2021 Distinguished Officer award, co-editor of the school newspaper, and marketing and advertising officer for the Class of 2022. She is highly active in the school's music department. She performs in the orchestra (violin), chorus, and show choir and has been a cast member in several school theatrical productions (Into the Woods, Seussical, Shrek, and The Curious Savage). The Pennsylvania and Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educator Associations have named Georges to their all-star choirs.Kyveli Georges and Patrick Gilhool

In the community, Georges is interning with the Elizabethtown Chamber of Commerce. She works at Kountry Kitchen Family Restaurant in Manheim. Georges is active with the Greek Orthodox Church in Lancaster, PA, and the Greek Orthodox Youth of America program. 

Her plans after graduation include attending a four-year college and majoring in the business field.

Gilhool is the son of Patrick and Kristin Gilhool of Elizabethtown. Gilhool is active in numerous school programs. He volunteers with Mini-THON and is an accomplished three-sport athlete. As a member of the Bears football team, Gilhool has been named to the Lancaster-Lebanon League first team and academic all-star teams twice. As a basketball team member, the Lancaster-Lebanon League named him a second team all-star as a junior (his senior season is still underway). Gilhool is also a member of the varsity lacrosse team.

In the community, Gilhool volunteers with the Elizabethtown Boys Club, helping out with the annual football golf outing. He is active with St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.

After graduation, Gilhool plans to attend a four-year college or university (course of study undecided) where he will play either football or basketball.
