April 15, 2021- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Remi Keeports and Jagger Gilleland were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club's students of the month for April. Keeports and Gilleland were honored for their high academic achievement, extensive school involvement, and community service activities.

Keeports is the daughter of Donald and Stephanie Keeports of Elizabethtown. She has received numerous honors during her high school years, including induction into the prestigious National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. Keeports has earned numerous underclass awards, including Academic Excellence Awards in English, Honors Geometry, Career and Finance, and Psychology.

Keeports is active in numerous school programs and activities. She is a concert, jazz, and marching band member, serving as trumpet leader her junior and senior years. The Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association named Keeports to its all-county band. She is a student ambassador and has tutored students in biology. She is a member of the softball team. Keeports participates in the Advance Health Careers program at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, where she has helped raise money for the National Eating Disorders Association.April Students of the Month

Keeports plans to attend Elizabethtown College to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy.

Gilleland is the son of Michael Gilleland of Bainbridge and Donita Gilleland of Elizabethtown. He is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society.

Gilleland is active in numerous school programs and activities. He is a member of the school orchestra (cello) and high school rifle team and a cast member for numerous EAHS theater program productions. Gilleland is active with the school’s Paws and Think program, where during his senior year, he was the club’s president.

In the community, Gilleland is currently running to become an Elizabethtown Area School District school board member. He took part in the Masonic Village’s Life Skills Leadership Conference.

Gilleland plans to attend Penn State – Harrisburg Campus and major in computer science.
