Rotary Club of Elizabethtown Club Goals 2009-10 President: Joseph Rebman Goal # 1 Establish an Interact Club
Objectives:
-
Partner with Elizabethtown Area School District to establish an Interact Club in the high school
-
Determine EASD staff person who will be a dynamic advisor to begin this club. Ensure staff person is able to captivate interests of students and promotes Rotary ideals.

Provide monetary foundation in budget for cost to establish club and compensate sponsor.
Goal # 2 Membership Goal of 100 Members by June 2010
Objectives:
-
Encourage recruitment by members. Recruit new classifications not currently represented in the club. Add at least one new member per month.

Engage new members in active orientation plan. Help them learn Rotary info, meet club members, and become active in club projects.

Continue with Fireside Chat for new members and others.
-
Concentrate on Retention of current members by engaging them in club projects, providing interesting programs, and respecting the value of their time.

Publicity of Rotary activities in community.

Exit interviews with those who leave.
Goal # 3 Extend participation in End Polio Now Campaign
Objectives:
-
Increase our contribution to Polio Eradication to $2000 per year for next 3 years
-
Increase community visibility to End Polio Now campaign and encourage community involvement and contribution.

Educate club members and community on the status of polio eradication
Goal # 4 Continue to cultivate our Four-Way Essay Contest
Objectives:
-
Assist middle school teachers in presenting information about the Four-Way Test in person.

Increase publicity of contest.
-
Consider expanding budget for awards. Look into possible small reward to acknowledge each child’s effort.
Goal # 5 Achieve 100% Participation in Rotary Foundation Support
Objectives:

Ask every Rotarian to make some donation to Rotary Foundation

Double the number of Sustaining Members who support the foundation

Reconfigure Club Matching policy to reward Sustaining Members

Educate often concerning importance of Rotary Foundation work and support
Goal # 6 Host a Student in Student Exchange Program
Objectives:
-
Support our three host families for 09-10 academic year.

Engage the club to welcome our exchange student as part of “our family”

Engage our newly established Interact Club to support our exchange student
Goal # 7 Leadership Development
Objectives:
-
At least 5 members attend Rotary Leadership Institute
-
Revitalize and strengthen committee structure with at least 3 persons on every committee.
-
President support club committees through personal contact with chair of each committee at least once a month.
Goal # 8 Earn a Presidential Citation
Objectives:
-
Complete the goals needed to earn the citation.

Engage membership in ownership of these goals.
